These carbon neutral handlooms embody the elements of truly sustainable, handmade artisan products.  The thread is handspun on a wooden wheel then yarn-dyed in fermented indigo.  These rich, blue dyes come from indigo leaves, cane sugar, lime, expertise and time. Craftspeople hand weave the threads into denim cloth on a treadle loom, (foot-pedal-driven).
