This is a unique type of felting needle, in that its barbs face in the opposite direction as all of our other felting needles. Because of this structure, wool fibers catch on the needle as you are pulling it out of the wool rather than pushing into it, resulting in a fluffy effect on the surface of felted pieces.Possible Uses:- create long fur/hair/fluff on animals by first using a regular felting needle to sculpt your piece, and then using this needle to pull some of the fibers back out- create interesting blended effects by felting different colored layers of wool on top of each other, and then using this needle afterwards to pull some of the inner layers of wool back out.
