Abigail Adams:  opposed slavery and supported women’s rights and education. Abigail was an advocate of married women's property rights and more opportunities for women, particularly in the field of education. Women, she believed, should not submit to laws not made in their interest, nor should they be content with the simple role of being companions to their husbands. She wrote her most famous letter that Founding Fathers- “remember the ladies” ***** Abigail is dressed in a  1940's vintage rose print cotton fabric with a vintage eyelet lace border at hem, sleeves and collar.  She has a red gingham ribbon sash around her waist.   For her hair I gave Abigail's auburn red hair ringlets around her face accented with a vintage metallic bullion star. I made her a straw spoon bonnet and trimmed it in antique lace and red, white and blue ribbon bow. On the side of her straw bonnet is a white lace flower. Hat is sewn to her head and can not be removed. Underneath her dress she is wearing
