DROP FORGED STEEL clips are heated and hammered, resulting in a consistent grain structure in the steel that performs consistently in critical, heavy duty applications. The saddles undergo a hot dip galvanization process, resulting in a superior corrosion resistant zinc coating. The nuts and bolts are electro-galvanized. Meets or exceeds Federal Specification: FF-C-450 Type I APPLICATION AND USE. Wire rope clips are designed to create load bearing eye termintion assemblies with wire rope. Always match clip size to wire rope diameter and use at least the minimum recommended number of clips. WARNING: Use of wire rope clips effectively reduces the minimum breaking strength/working load limit of the entire wire rope system by approximately 20%.
