Honduras Finca Liquidambar

At Finca Liquidambar all picking and weed control is done by hand (on some very steep hills in places). The pulping is done manually then the coffee is dried out on patios. There are various kinds of vegetation on the farm to provide natural shade for the coffee shrubs, including the Liquidambar (or Sweet Gum tree) that the farm is named after. Reina Claros, the farmer, is a mother of 5, so she and her family depend heavily on the success of the farm. Since working with Reina, she has been able to double her production and make several improvements to her farm; all with the security of knowing her entire lot will be sold.
