Each dunk kills mosquitoes before they become flying, biting adults. Mosquito Dunks provide 30 days of continuous control under normal environmental conditions. They contain Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis, a targeted larvicide, which releases into the water once placed. Dunks float in water and can be anchored with string to prevent them from being washed away. Mosquito Bits are suitable alternatives to the Mosquito Dunks when bodies of standing water are not present. Alternate drying and wetting does not reduce the effectiveness of Mosquito Dunks or Mosquito Bits.
