Building on the success of the original Yield Lab Pro Series grow light kit is the brand new Yield Lab Pro Series 1000W HPS Open Wing Double Ended Reflector Grow Light Kit; the same fantastic setup but with a new open wing reflector that is sure to make an impact on plant growth.Since double ended grow light fixtures were first developed over 10 years ago, the professional horticultural industry has benefited from their ability to produce more power. In more recent years, this technology has been adapted to suit smaller indoor grow light kits, making them a more affordable option for home growers. But the new open wing double ended reflector is unique in terms of its ability to increase light dissipation without throwing out large quantities of heat which can be detrimental to plants. Just like a traditional wing reflector, the Yield Lab open wing reflector has multiple reflection points in order to create stronger light coverage across the growing space. But, unlike a traditional wing reflector which can push heat downwards, the new open wing reflector has been designed with openings across the top to allow heat to escape out the sides of the reflector and away from plants.This new design is also beneficial in providing a more accurate reading to a growers cooling and exhaust system, protecting plants from overheating. The plant canopy will oftentimes be 5-10 degrees warmer than the ambient temperature of a grow room, yet it is the ambient temperature which is used as a gauge as to whether or not a cooling system should turn on. The open wing double ended reflector from Yield Lab expels heat from the sides of the reflector, which in turn allows temperature gauges to deliver a more accurate reading than would be possible with a standard grow light system.
