On his stand, he exhibited all his beautiful handmade razors. He won the first prize: 2 gold medals. So proud of this, when he returned back to France, he created a new mark—the "Medaille d'Or exposition Alger 1921" in remembrance of his award. The original mark was usually stamped with the 2 medals in gold, which was so logical! In 1984, the stamp Medaille d'Or Alger was found, but a major detail was missed, the 2 gold parts on the medals on the straight razor were black. Now honoring a proud heritage, the golden mark or "d'Or" is back in its full honor with the intended gold parts on the medals
