THE CULT : SONIC TEMPLE 30TH ANNIVERSARY [LP]

“Youthquaker” I was a lot a bit surprised to learn that ‘she sells sanctuary’ off of ‘Love’ has over 100m plays on Spotify and that ‘ Edie (Ciao Baby)’ only has around 10m. The latter was one of my favorite songs when I was little and I always thought for sure it was their biggest hit. I’m pretty sure that’s my favorite Cult song still to this day.  And oh, man! ‘Fire Woman’  whew, what good can’t I say about this track, it’s perfect. It’s loud, fun to sing along to, ripping guitar, lyrics you will most certainly mishear, the works! There’s a lot to love about Sonic Temple for sure I mean, I own it and I play, well… often enough. All of that being said, if you put a gun to my head and forced a choice between this or Love I’d have to go with the Love, I just like it more as a whole.
