2001 Collings 0001 12-Fret Steel String Acoustic Guitar Used
With its slotted headstock, pyramid bridge, and elegant 12-fret body shape, this almost looks like a bigger-than-usual parlor guitar. When you play it, however, it sounds more like a slightly smaller Dreadnought, because the bridge placement closer to the middle of the soundboard results in a bigger, warmer bass response than a 14-fret 000 orl OM of about the same size. This has some light fret wear, it has been played in its 20+ year life, but the owner was careful and there's very little surface wear and no signs of repairs, modifications, or significant collisions with inanimate objects. Minor finish issue on the headstock that we often see on Collings from this period, but its just from the pore filler (see photo). Original case is equally clean.
