The Pisgah Roscoe is a great choice for players looking for a lighter weight banjo with a round, dark tone and good projection. This is Pisgah's least expensive model and they were able to bring the cost down by keeping the cosmetics simple. The 12-inch shell is fitted with a walnut tone rim, which, as Pisgah puts it, produces “amazing plunk.” The cherry neck has a graceful 'boat heel' design with a lot of heft to it. The peghead is the 1880s paddle style and features a plain walnut overlay. The Roscoe has Pisgah’s short 25.5” scale length, a Richlite fretboard with a frailing scoop and antiqued brass hardware. The Roscoe is not just a great banjo for the price, it's a great banjo, period. Includes a padded gig bag.
