This Custom Taylor was designed by our own Luke Doughty. Here's what he has to say about it: With a torrefied Sitka Spruce soundboard and our aged maple this guitar was designed to deliver a powerful but even tone that complements fingerstyle players and flat pickers alike. Aesthetically, I wanted the maple to be the focal point of the instrument and so I chose a sunburst finish that makes the figure pop visually. The maple theme continues with the binding and soundhole rosette. I opted for a plain ebony fretboard, which I like for its elegant simplicity. I feel this Grand Auditorium achieves the distinct High-Fidelity tone that Taylor is known for, but with a little bit of Gryphon’s DNA. It’s easy to pick up, hard to put down.
