Outward | Sendero Luminoso
Sendero Luminoso, or “Shining Path,” is inspired by the winemakers’ epic climb in El Potrero Chico, Mexico. If you're into mountains, check it out! This red wine flips the classic Rhône GSM blend on its head, swapping out Grenache for the ultra-rare Vaccarèse - a grape so elusive, it’s found in only two vineyards in North America. A rush of blackberries and violets, a savory hint of bacon fat, and a sprinkle of herbs de Provence - each sip as bold and luminous as the path that inspired its name. This is the kind of red that’s made for sharing after a day of adventure, with enough personality to turn any meal into a story worth telling. This Central Coast mosaic weaves together Syrah from Starfire (60%), Vaccarèse from Old Oak (30%), and Mourvèdre from Rancho Arroyo Grande (10%) to showcase the wild diversity of the region’s terroir.
