Salt water crystals on the surface of Lake Manly in Badwatger Basin, Death Valley, California. Lake Manly, a saltwater lake, was one of the most distinctive geological features of Death Valley National Park. It last appeared in 2005 and reappeared in the fall of 2023 after historic rainfall from Hurricane Hillary. It is situated at the lowest point of the park and is a remnant of a vast ancient lake that once existed in the area.
