The primary threat advances from open floor space with a handgun presented at eye level, while a second armed subject uses the kitchen island for partial cover and a lower shooting angle. Both individuals are actively engaged and oriented toward the shooter. The kitchen environment introduces tight angles, hard surfaces, and visual clutter that compress reaction time and complicate threat prioritization. Cabinetry, appliances, and the island restrict movement and force the shooter to process multiple lethal threats within a confined interior space. Modified T-boxes and cardiac boxes are present on both subjects to support structured evaluation of shot placement following engagement.
