Understanding Bias: A Workshop for Allies

This workshop offers a compassionate guide to becoming an ally. The skills of effective allyship have always been needed – and now is the time to take responsibility for our own learning to support our racialized family, friends and colleagues. This interactive and engaging workshop will give you an opportunity to learn about the ways that bias impacts our thoughts and behaviors and the tools to challenge bias in ourselves and others. This workshop will cover: Understanding the experience and science of bias  Identifying and interrupting our own bias Managing mistakes and making amends Managing guilt, discomfort and difficult conversations Attendance will be capped at 30 so as to facilitate open dialogue and conversation. 50% of proceeds will be donated to Colin Kaepernick’s Legal Defense Fund.    When & Where Tuesday, June 30th 6:30-8:30pm Eastern time. Ticket holders will be sent a Zoom link shortly before the event begins.
