Kawasaki ZX7R AirboxWe designed this airbox in the early 90′ s for road racer Lee Shirts. This is one of our first experiments with pressurized air boxes. It helped give Lee so much horsepower the bike spit him off at Pomona and gave him his first concussion. This panel takes and experienced fabricator to install. It is installed over the motor between the frame spars, and the bottom of the fuel tank acts as a lid so proper sealing (with weatherstripping material) is important. Cutting, drilling and trimming is required and the ignition coil has to be relocated. But, it is well worth the effort once you get it mounted. Expect to see horsepower increases in a range of 5-7%.
