Gloucester Cathedral, in Gloucester, England, was the interior filming location for several scenes from the Harry Potter movie series. The cathedral, which dates back to 1482, is home to the original door to the Gryffindor Common Room, as well as the corridor where the ominous words "The Chamber of Secrets has been opened! Enemies of the Heir beware!" and "Her skeleton will lie in the Chamber forever" were found. Some of the troll scenes from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone were also filmed there, as well as scenes where Harry overhears Draco and Snape talking about the unbreakable vow in the sixth movie.
