Livia Carafe
Our hand-blown Livia Carafe was inspired by the tiny perfume or “unguentarium” widely used in the Roman Empire and infuses a bit of futurism into this ancient shape. Livia Drusilla, the wife of Augustus, was a known lover of blown glass and the finer things, and we thought it would be fitting to name our carafe in her honor. The form is simple, Platonic - a sphere into a cone into a sphere - it will fit in on any tablescape, whether mid-century-inspired, your stateroom on an intergalactic cruise, or in a contemporary farmhouse. We think it goes especially well with its cousin shape: our Cirrus Vase. The Livia Carafe holds over 750ml, perfect for a bottle of wine or sparkling water, or even as an elevated bedside carafe. It comes with a hand-blown glass stopper- to keep bugs, dust, and other unwanted guests out. Note: These are hand-blown glass, and some variation is to be expected. Dimensions and texture may vary slightly from those listed. We embrace and encourage these small variation
