Philadelphia: Printed by David Dickinson, for the Author, 1818.  [3565] Full leather with black leather spine title label, 7 1/2 4 1/2 inches, binding is scuffed and worn, small ding to spine, 3" crack at top of back joint - has the appearance of that section of the leather backstrip being sometime repasted to the spine. Private library bookplate of Joseph A. Sadony, bottom corner of ffep torn with loss. 514 pp. with varying degrees of foxing, with separate title pages to five of the parts, all with the same 1818 imprint. A little shaken, with nothing detached. Good. Kaplan, A Bibliography of American Autobiographies, no. 2121. Library of Congress lists only this second edition.
