Frederic Dan Huntington (1819-1904), a native of Hadley, MA; first Protestant Episcopal bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of New York. He graduated at Amherst College in 1839 and at the Harvard Divinity School in 1842. He was a Unitarian at this time, and pastor of the South Congregational Church of Boston (1842-1855), and then preacher to the university and Plummer professor of Christian Morals at Harvard (1855-1860).
