Will ship folded at center, as found. There is a short 1 inch tear at the fold, in the margin. Removed from a bound volume, Johnson's New Illustrated Family Atlas. Very good. This gorgeous map show railroads, canals, common roads, cities and towns. Inset illustrations of the Niagara Suspension Bridge, Observatory at Yale College, Observatory at Cambridge, Observatory at Amherst College, and Mansfield the Homestead and Farm of the late Daniel Webster. Alvin Jewett Johnson (1827-1884), b. Wallingford, Vermont; school teacher, for some years a book and map seller for J. H. Colton and Co.
