The Start. Lukla, Nepal. /20
Pictured just outside Lukla, Nepal, this scene features one of the first Sanskrit prayers painted on boulders along the trail to Everest Base Camp. The dark rock contrasts with the bright white text, while Yak skulls native to the Himalayas, rest atop the rocks, standing as silent guardians of the sacred path. The Anthropology collection celebrates the diversity of humanity and different walks of life all united in the quintessential simplicity of being part of one human race. By publishing the behaviors that might be different from place to place, I aim to highlight the relationship between culture and environment. Adjunctly, some characters we meet in our journeys of life are so compelling they deserve to have their stories told.
