Here the Trinity is depicted as the three angels who appeared to the Patriarch Abraham (lower left) and his wife Sara (lower right) at the Oak of Mamre, as recorded in the book of Genesis, chapter 18. The abbreviated inscription at top identifies the subject as SVYATAYA TROITSA-The Holy Trinity. 28.25 inches x 21.75 inches (72 x 55 cm).
