SOLD ART QUILT TITLED: Botany 101 CREATED: 2006 SIZE: 22” x 32 ½” Artist’s Statement A study of plant life from different perspectives, from the cell structure to the plant decay, interpreted from photographic images transformed into silkscreen and thermofax screens. Discovery and interpretation are fundamental life processes for me. Materials Original whole cloth design painted and silkscreened onto white cotton fabric. Machine quilted with silk thread through cotton batting.
