As the Vikings converted to Christianity, they began to take upon themselves Christian symbols. This pendant depicts Christ as a Lamb with a Cross behind. This was one of the earliest Christian symbols worn by the Vikings at a time that marked the beginning of the end of the Viking era. This pendant is a copy of an actual ornament found in a viking dig, dating about 1100 AD. It is a crudely fashioned, but authentic piece. The original is in the Roskilde, Denmark Viking Ship Museum.
