Douk-Douk Folder Pocket Knife

Originally designed in 1929 by Gaspard Cognet, the "Douk Douk" knife is still manufactured by M.C. Cognet using the same construction methods. Emblazoned on the handle is the mysterious Douk-Douk costume worn by a secret society within the Tolai, an indigenous people on the Gazelle Peninsula in New Guinea.  On the blade itself are acid-engraved arabesques and the name of the knife. The construction of the "Douk Douk" knife is incredibly simple and rugged making for a resilient utility knife. It's not fancy, rather unrefined, but durable and long lasting leading to its continued popularity.
