Intro to Sashiko Stitching
Come learn the history and basics of "one-stitch," or Hitomezashi, sashiko stitching. This geometric style of stitching is a centuries-old Japanese traditional method for repairing and reinforcing garments. Many people find this technique quite meditative and the results are beautiful. Absolute beginners will leave with at least one sashiko sampler suitable for making coasters or patching clothing.
