Purple Fluorite Cube Crystal with Sphalerite, 109.4gm

This wonderful specimen is a naturally formed purple Fluorite cube crystal growing on Sphalerite. Crystals from this location often are snuck out of the mines by the miners. As these are a secondary find to the main mining operation, the specimens from Elmwood are sadly destroyed during the mining operation. We consider these specimens "rock rescues". The Fluorite specimens have been difficult to find in recent years, but a small collection has been released recently, and we are thrilled to offer some of these coveted specimens.  The darker crystal that the fluorite often grows with is Sphalerite. In some cases, a light will pass through the crystals and glow orange or orangish red! We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
