Kushuka Necklace

"Kushuka" means "to descend or get off/exit" in Swahili. This linked necklace is a fashion statement - and also provides an opportunity for artisans to exit the poverty cycle they have been born into, and give them the confidence and means to begin a new journey. This bold necklace is handcrafted in Kibera slums, Kenya. It's pendant is made from recycled glass. Each link is handcrafted making this a piece of wearable art.
