Blue and Black Striped Bowl

Handmade bowl by Renata Wadsworth. This large bowl has a blue and black speckled glaze on the exterior, and the inner rim of the bowl is accented with a textured black and white striped design. Renata's pottery training included influences from folk, Chinese and Japanese traditions. These potentially opposing methods of working have helped her strike a balance between technical precision and creative intuition. She uses simple lines and gentle asymmetry to create elegant pots that invite a little fresh humor.
