Bark Pocket Maple and Wenge Wood Turned Fruit Bowl

Made from local maple wood with dark, exotic wenge wood rim, this is a wide, low bowl, with a nice, clear grain and good contrast.  Can be used as a display piece, fruit bowl, or catch-all! Measures 13" across x 3" high. Segmented wood turned bowls are comprised of many dozens (if not hundreds!) of precisely cut, layered, and glued together pieces of wood turned on a wood lathe and sanded to perfect the end product. All wood used by this artist is natural (not stained) and either from local Northern Michigan trees or exotic species.
