Halmoni means “Grandmother” in Korean. This tea is handmade by Jeong Jae Yeon, who learned the craft from her grandmother. Traditionally, it was made for family use or shared with neighbors for medicinal purposes. In Korea’s “tea belt,” families have long produced tea from wild or semi-wild bushes, which receive no fertilizer or pesticides. These plants are organically grown, hand-picked, and hand-processed, with methods passed down for generations. Halmonicha is a handmade, authentic example of traditional Korean balhyocha (black tea). We have a very limited supply of this truly special tea. When it's gone it's gone.
