Agave margaritae are rare, small and compact growing agaves that are native to isolated islands off the coast of Baja CA. 'Dakota' is the resulting hybrid that captures the best qualities of both genetic parents. 'Dakota' agaves are elegant looking with bright blue color & symmetrical shape. Spiked terminal spines are set off by attractive red to grey colored, recurved marginal teeth that result in appealing textural bud imprint patterns on each leaf.
