Agave Filifera The Thread Leaf Agave has dark green, narrow, lance-shaped leaves with slight white buds imprinting to form a dense, basal rosette-shaped plant to about 18 inches across. This agave also grows leaf margins forming threads along its edges. Although it is possible for this plant to grow offsets or pups, it is not very common to do so.
