Aloe variegata Stemless, striped, and sturdy are the most notable features of this small Patridge Breast Aloe (or Tiger Aloe) native to South Africa. The thick, triangular, dark green colored flesh of its leaves is striped with irregular bands of white colored spots with white, short, and serrated marginal teeth. Short, stout stalks will sprout out during winter to early spring and will have many salmon-pink-colored tubular flowers. Plant this aloe in well-drained soil, and don’t overwater in winter.
