Pachycereus pringlei - Cardon

Pachycereus pringlei -  A Cardon is a tall giant of the Sonoran desert. Its overall appearance is reminiscent of our native iconic Saguaro, but it branches more right from the base. Equally slow growing, they have gray-green waxy flesh, and their ribs are armed with areoles sporting silvery-colored spines up to 5” long.
