Stenocereus thurberi - Organ Pipe Cactus
Stenocereus thurberi A classic columnar, ribbed Sonoran Desert native. Green in color and covered in 1/2in. long black spines that turn to grey with age. Once they finally reach maturity, the Organ pipe cactus will bloom with large, creamy white crepuscular flowers from late spring to summer. Stenocereus thurberi grow slowly to 25ft. high x 10-15 ft. wide. Small, young plants will appreciate the shade from hot western sun exposures. Once mature, plants tolerate full sun.
