Yucca thompsoniana - Thompson's yucca
Yucca thompsoniana Thompson's yucca is a moderate to fast-growing, short-trunked yucca native to the Pecos River region of west Texas. The green leaves are narrow, long and sharp-tipped. They form a symmetrical round rosette of leaves about 4 ft. across. Often multi-headed. These yuccas are accommodating to different soil types and moisture levels, but good drainage is recommended. They flower like other yuccas with woody, branched stalks that stand 3-4 ft. above the foliage in spring to summer.
