Aspinochilus rufus 3/4”

size 3/4” This unique arboreal from Indonesia Java is endangered in its native range. Reaching about 4.5 inches as adults, this spider can be quite reclusive, but very fast when it needs to be. The red colored hairs over the cream colored body has coin this spider as the Peach Earth Tiger Tarantula.  After being known in the hobby for years as Phormingochilus sp. "rufus",  this spider was officially described in January of 2025 as Aspinochilus rufus.
