size 1/4”  The genus Platythomisus is the largest of the “crab spider” with females reaching 2 inches in length. This amazing spider is a total show stopper and will be a masterpiece of any collection. These spiders are so unique in behavior and color that it’s hard to believe they are real. These should be set up on tall deli containers with damp dirt on the bottom and several pieces of bark and silk leaves for them to climb on and web over. Although they will take crickets if enticed, I have found that they really like flying insects. So it would be good to have a source of fly pupae on hand. They beautiful spiders were first described way back in 1845 by by German arachnologist Carl Ludwig Koch. Native too  Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and some or the other surrounding countries. These are extremely hard to come by in the hobby and won’t last long.
