size 3/4” Described in 1875 by Austrian naturalist Anton Ausserer. These incredible terrestrial spiders can be found along the road bangs through out Panama. Large spiders that can reach 7 inches. The males of this genus lack tibial spurs, making them easy to differentiate from other “red rump” spiders. These spiders breed fairly easy in captivity and have rather large eggs containing around 125 slings. Great species that is often overlooked!
