This chair is our interpretation of a chair originally designed and manufactured by Charles P. Limbert out of Grand Rapids, Michigan somewhere between 1902 and 1905. Limbert's designs were typically less severe and more visually interesting, usually achieved through the use of cut-outs and other elements, inspired by such diverse influences as English Arts and Crafts and the Dutch peasant furniture that surrounded him in Michigan, Japanese style , and American Prairie. His collections often resembled pieces seen later, like American Mission lines and Greene and Greene style.
