2022 Forlorn Hope "Queen of the Sierra" Orange Wine, Sierra Foothills, California

This is a extended skin contact "orange" wine, which Forlorn Hope calls an amber wine. We always like to judge a wine with: "did one sip lead to another?" Boy oh boy did it. This is one of the best skin contact wines we've had and we've been on a hunt for quite some time. From a high altitude vineyard near the northwestern Yosemite National Park border. Farmed organically since 2013. No new oak is utilized, and nothing was added to the must or wine (no cultured yeast, ML bacteria, water, tartaric acid, enzymes, nutrients, etc) with the exception of minimal effective SO2.
