Council Tool Double Bit Classic Michigan Axe features phantom bevels or hollows which are designed to reduce sticking and minimize burst wood chips. One end of this double bit axe is is thinner and sharper and used for knot-free cutting. The other end is thicker and blunter and used when knots were present or to cut near the ground where contact with dirt is likely. This axe has a forged tool steel head and is hand sharpened.
