A late Victorian carved shell cameo brooch featuring a Goddess with grape leaves in her hair. This piece is wonderfully detailed and the mounting is gold filled with leaves all around. The back of the cameo is signed. The pin stem has been updated and is fully functional with a closure. The brooch is just shy of 2.5 inches long. There is a crack in the side of the cameo but it is structurally sound and aside from this it is in good condition.
