Queen Quilt - Ohi'a Lehua
Ohi'a Lehua inspires expressions of love and beauty through Hawaiian storytelling, poetry, hula, and mele (song). Ohi'a wood was used for tools, weapons, and carving symbols of Hawaiian gods. If the Ohi'a Lehua was picked in ancient times it was thought to anger the "Goddess of Pele" and bring rain.
