DEBUSSY: Preludes, Book I / CRUMB: Makrokosmos I

Just over sixty years passed between the first book of Claude Debussy’s "Preludes" and "Makrokosmos I" by George Crumb, and yet they seem to be related to each other. "In addition to the general form, the two cycles originate from the same sacral vision of the cosmos and the same Pandean feeling: that of Debussy’s earthly, Crumb’s celestial." says Enrico Belli, the pianist of these recordings.
