British a cappella vocal group The King’s Singers has been around since 1968. Founded at King’s College in Cambridge, England, they experienced a surge of popularity in the 1970s and 1980s. This two disc set features 40 total tracks on two discs and showcases the very best of the ensemble’s recording history. The first disc is dedicated to classical works, and features songs such as William Byrd’s “Gloria,” and Kodaly’s “Esti Dal,” while the second disc includes lighter works like Irving Berlin’s “Blue Skies,” and Billy Joel’s “Lullaby.”
