A note about extraction method. Most extracts on market are made by soaking a herb in oil, alcohol or water and then straining and selling it. It's a very watered-down form of herb as a result. You can read on the bottles what potency they are 1 part to 4 parts, etc. I use 200 proof food grade ethanol to soak to get everything possible from freshly ground herbs, roots or berries, then vacuum extraction to remove 98% of the ethanol. I then place on an electric stirrer hot plate to evaporate any residual and leave only the purest oil from the plant. If too thick to stir, I place on a rubber mat to evaporate. I don't believe alcohol belongs in any health remedy because it's incredibly damaging to DNA and tissue. It definitely shouldn't be in anything for my dogs.
